Career Advisory postgraduate studies – after the third weekend

“I should change my job, but I’m not doing anything about it.”, “I need to rebrand”, “I feel like banging my head against a brick wall, I’ve stopped developing myself”, “I’m stuck and have no idea what to do next…” Sounds familiar? Sooner or later everyone is forced to face an important decision. It often comes along with resistance, fear of change, or getting outside of your comfort zone. These are our clients’ challenges, which every career consultant deals with regularly. Moreover, there are changes in trends in the job market, automation, the influence of technology, or just like it has been for some time now: a pandemic, which has changed the behaviour of the market’s players.
To be able to advise successfully, as well as support and motivate clients in making life-changing decisions, it is necessary to possess knowledge about psychology, coaching, and working with resistance.

Studia podyplomowe Career Advisory – po trzecim zjeździe

Podsumowanie 3. zjazdu, studia podyplomowe. Zarządzanie rozwojem i zmianą ścieżki kariery.

By móc skutecznie doradzać, wspierać i motywować swoich klientów w dokonywaniu życiowych decyzji, niezbędna jest wiedza z zakresu psychologii, coachingu i pracy z oporem.

Career Advisory postgraduate studies – after the second weekend

A client comes to a Career Consultant and asks, “I have a Gallup test report. What job should I look for?”, “We did a series of tests at work this year. Can we discuss them?”, “The report says I’m a good manager. Why am I not being promoted?”, “I have to take the Hogan test as part of the recruitment process I am in. Can you help me prepare?”. The second session of the Career Advisory postgraduate studies was about a wide range of tests, their role in career advisory, and their usefulness when working with clients.

Career Advisory postgraduate studies (2nd edition) – first impressions.

To be able to advise others in the field of developing and changing their career paths, you need to understand how people make career decisions. And you should start with yourself.

We asked our students, “When you were kids, who did you want to be when you grew up?” Their answers: translator, veterinarian, archaeologist, basketball player, teacher, newsagent salesperson, flight attendant, excavator operator, lawyer, or “someone who conducts interviews”… 85% of them “ended up” in either soft or “hard” HR in roles / positions like a coach, HR Manager, HR BP, HR Psychologist, recruitment coordinator. The others are involved in teaching, and shaping the customer experience. To sum up: it is a very varied, interesting, and mature group. The average work experience is 13 years – beginning from 3, through 16, up to 22 years of experience.
