Was funktioniert – und was nicht?
LinkedIn job ads – market analysis (Week 15)

Full Week 15 Market Signals report showing winners: Visegrad, Czechia and Losers: Baltics, Croatia

Full Week 15 Market Signals report showing winners: Visegrad, Czechia and Losers: Baltics, Croatia

Market Signals – where do they come from?

We started by monitoring the number of LinkedIn job ads in 18 European countries in Week 13 of 2020 (mid-March) – and extended our observations to ultimately 38 countries in Europe since Week 15. This allows us to measure a KPI that gives quite a good feel of the overall trend on the global job market.

Career Angels analyze the collected figures and complement the quantitative data with detailed and personal statements & insights of CEOs, HR Directors, investors, board members, candidates and headhunters that we know personally. We observe if and what kind of trends there are to leverage them into better candidate management & more effective job search methods.

These are not usual times, so we decided to share our market signals by the end of each week. If the country / context is important, we’ll add them. Otherwise, we’ll keep it general for confidentiality.

Networking as a job hunting channel (video)

Networking as a job hunting channel (video)

Networking has an efficiency of 29% as a job hunting channel – 14% more than contacting recruiters! Depending on how complex the job search is, candidates should get in touch with their network 3 to 9 months prior starting the whole process, meaning that they have to audit contacts in advance, be systematic and consistent.

This video was recorded during one of the 16 webinars we produced last year that attracted over 1000 participants from all over the world who have spontaneously sent us feedback like this one: “The webinars allowed me to systematize my knowledge. They were invaluable to understand how the current job market looks like. They are a beautiful initiative in times like these. They support people for whom building a career development path is a big unknown in some aspects. It’s perfect for those who appreciate professional knowledge and experience”Department Director

Date: April 12, 2021 / 12:00 – 13:00 CET
For: Association of MBAs
Topic: Career Management – an exploration of how Covid-19 has impacted MBA job search
Speaker: Sandra Bichl
Format: keynote, reserved for AMBA members
Language: English
About & details: Covid-19 has disrupted the job market and raises more questions than it gives answers. For example: has the supply and demand for candidates changed? Which job markets are globally affected the most? What do these changes mean for qualified, educated candidates? How has the job search process in 2021 changed, when compared with 2018 or 2015? (Has it changed at all?) Career Angels has been meticulously tracking so-called ‘job hunting KPIs’ and how they have changed over recent years – showing how drastically the job market has evolved for experienced managers and executives in 2020. And it’s very likely to stay that way. Join the webinar to get the answers for all of this questions (and even more) and find out how the job market has changed!
